Abstract:Based on the goal setting theory,the present study discussed the relationship between goal commitment, personal initiative and innovative performance. Interview and questionnaire data from a total of 253 entrepreneurs and senior managers showed a direct impact of goal commitment on innovative performance. Task-Oriented Personal Initiative and Relationship-Oriented Personal Initiativeplayed an intermediary role in the influence of goal commitment on innovative performance.Performance-oriented culture played a moderating role in the relationship between Relationship-Oriented Personal Initiative and innovative performance. This study has enriched the research field of innovation performance and provided entrepreneurs with practical guidance to improve enterprise innovation performance.
