Abstract：Parental differential treatment refers to the different ways parents treat their siblings' children in terms of resource allocation, emotional contribution and behavior control under the influence of internal and external factors in the same family environment. This study comprehensively expounds the internal and external influencing factors of parental differential treatment in the second-child environment from the aspects of children, parents, family and social economy and culture, and proposes a hypothesis model of the interaction of influencing factors in parental differential treatment. In future studies, we will develop a localized research tool for parental differential treatment based on China's national conditions to further explore the after-effects of parental differential treatment and reduce the negative effects of parental differential treatment through educational intervention.
