The Relationship between Interpersonal Trust and Subjective Well-being of College Students: The Mediating Role of Prosocial Behavior and Aggressive Behavior
Abstract:In order to explore the influence mechanism of interpersonal trust on subjective well-being of college students and the mediating role of prosocial behavior and aggressive behavior, 2256 college students were investigated with interpersonal trust questionnaire, prosocial behavior questionnaire, reactive-proactive aggression questionnaire and Index of well-being questionnaire. The results showed that: (1) Interpersonal trust positively predicted subjective well-being of college students. The higher the levels of interpersonal trust, the better the subjective well-being; (2) Interpersonal trust indirectly affects subjective well-being through the mediating effect of prosocial behavior and aggressive behavior.
